  • Trinidee Shelton, NCARB-certified Architect and AIA Grand Canyon Chapter Director (2024–2025), guides each project with clarity, creativity, and decades of experience in both residential and commercial design.

    Licensed in Arizona since 2020, Trinidee has been immersed in custom home design since 2003 and commercial architecture for more than a decade. From hillside homes and tenant improvements to adaptive reuse projects, she has helped families and businesses bring their ideas to life through both new construction and remodels.

    Her professional service extends beyond her firm. Trinidee served on the Prescott Historic Preservation Commission from 2013 to 2016, including a term as Chairwoman, where she helped shape policies to protect Prescott’s architectural heritage.

    A commitment to sustainable design runs throughout her work. Formerly a LEED-AP in Building Design & Construction and now a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor, she incorporates sun studies, passive solar strategies, and alternative materials whenever possible to create spaces that are efficient, healthy, and enduring.

  • John Shelton brings over two decades of expertise in structural observation, quality assurance, and special inspections to Shelton & Associates. Since 2001, he has worked across Arizona and Southern California, providing inspection services and quality control programs that ensure construction projects are built with accuracy, safety, and lasting integrity.

    At Shelton & Associates, John leads a team that meets or exceeds all requirements established by ASTM standards, ICC codes, and other governing bodies. His approach combines technical precision with a practical understanding of construction, ensuring that every inspection is not only code-compliant but also aligned with the intent of the design.

    John’s work extends beyond inspections. He is deeply involved in field services and on-site coordination, working closely with architects, engineers, and build teams to ensure that the implementation of design translates seamlessly from drawings to construction. This collaborative, hands-on approach helps prevent issues in the field, supports contractors during execution, and provides owners with confidence that their investment is being built to the highest standard.
